Today’s Google logo is the most eye catching one I have seen so far. By this time most of us know about the creative logos that Google puts up on its homepage to celebrate some events and people.

What is interesting to me is about how powerful a mass communication medium this could be. A simple logo could be used to reach millions of visitors and spread awareness about global issues. The only prominent visual on the homepage is its logo making it the greatest advertising tool that a marketer could dream of.

For example a customized logo on the elections day in India could encourage the otherwise-indifferent Indian youth to go out and vote.
